30 years ago: the demonstration of all demonstrations
On 23 October 1983 the largest mass demonstration in the history of our country was held in Brussels. Around 400,000 people protested against the presence of nuclear missiles in Belgium. On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of this ‘demonstration of all demonstrations’ Luc Barbé will talk about the long history of our country’s association with ‘the bomb’.
• For four years Luc Barbé worked as principal private secretary to the Secretary of State for Energy, Olivier Deleuze. Now he works as a consultant and writer on energy issues.
