In May last year the EU came up with a new proposal for a law on seeds. It plays straight into the hands of the large seed companies and is a direct threat to small-scale agriculture and biodiversity. Also the EU’s Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is criticised because some of its administrators also have jobs in food multinationals and food industry lobby groups.
