Arts Day for Children
On this Arts day for Children we shall be making the whole Kaaistudios building available and children will be in charge! Come and have a look, enjoy a delicious Brussels waffle and let yourself be immersed in the world of dance.
The dancers from Rosas will teach you dance pieces from Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s exhibition Work/Travail/Arbeid. At the end of the workshop the results will be shown to friends and family in a proper mini-performance.
Work/Travail/Arbeid is an ambitious and very unusual exhibition project. Together with Rosas, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker reinterpreted the dance piece Vortex Temporum, transforming it into a nine-week exhibition at WIELS.
Programme:
1 pm – opens
2 – 3 pm: Joos Vollebregt and the young philosophers (in Dutch!) | 4-6 years
3 – 5 pm: Work/Travail/Arbeid workshop (Rosas) | 6-12 years
4 – 5 pm: Joos Vollebregt and the young philosophers (in Dutch!) | 7-9 years
5 pm: mini-performance by dance workshop participants | everyone
