When Vincent Dunoyer began to create performances himself – having danced at Rosas for years – it struck him that dance industry professionals would always ask him the same thing: ‘Can you send us a DVD of the performance?’ This led him to the idea of making a performance with DVD as its title. In DVD DVD, or Dunoyer Vincent Danser, he creates a montage of personal and professional memories, like a lecture interspersed with video and dance. The result is both intimate and universal, showing Vincent Dunoyer at his best!

• Vincent Dunoyer began his dance career with Wim Vandekeybus, and danced with Rosas for six years. Since 1998, he has been working as a freelance dancer, actor and choreographer. He has presented various performances at the Kaaitheater, including Sister (2007), a duet with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker; and Encore (2009), a reconstruction of his repertoire as a dancer. Since 2010, he has also been flirting with visual art, creating pieces like Pairforming (together with the painter Lucas Devriendt) and O.L.V. van Vaak/Notre Dame du Sommeil (with Berlinde De Bruyckere) for Performatik 2011 and 2013 respectively.
