An inspiring workshop on the art of calligraphy, where you'll explore Arabic letters and their creative application on textiles. Guided by Ismail Matar, painter and calligrapher active in the Artistic Workspace of Globe Aroma, you'll gain insights into his work and expertise. Ismail will introduce you to Arabic letters using custom stencils he has designed. You’ll have the opportunity to express a word, a personal statement or whatever you want to say in Arabic by painting it on a tote bag provided for you—or feel free to bring your own textile item ! You’ll unleash your creativity and leave with a customised textile piece to bring around your message for people.
All material is provided by us, but wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. ;) Attendees can register in advance. Seats are limited.
